Gaap is successfully Summoned while it has a continuous effect that changes battle positions.
No. Gaap's continuous effect applies immediately after its successful Summon, but Torrential Tribute can still be activated in the summon response window. The restriction only applies to monsters being set under Gaap, not to the Summon of Gaap itself.
If Gaap's effect is negated by Forbidden Chalice, do face-down monsters still get flipped up later?!
Gaap the Divine Soldier is Summoned, and its effect is negated by Forbidden Chalice until the End Phase.
Yes. In Edison, Forbidden Chalice wears off in the End Phase. Once it ends, Gaap's continuous effect applies and face-down monsters are changed to Attack Position (Flip Effects do not activate).
