A Gladiator Beast activates its effect and is chained by Forbidden Chalice.
Yes. It still returns to the Deck as cost, but its effect is negated so no monster is Summoned.
If Kuraz is negated by Forbidden Chalice, can it attack the turn it was Summoned?!
Kuraz is Summoned and Forbidden Chalice is activated on it.
Yes. The cannot attack is a continuous effect, so Chalice negates it and Kuraz can attack.

One face-up monster on the field gains 400 ATK, but its effect is negated until the End Phase.
●This effect targets a face-up monster on the field.
●If the target is not face-up when this effect resolves, that monster's effect are not negated.
●This effect only negates effects that activate / apply on the field.
●This effect does NOT negate monster effects that activate in the GY, like “Sangan”.
●If a monster's effect allows it to attack directly, and “Forbidden Chalice” is activated during the Damage Step, resolve the attack. A replay does not occur.
●VS. Lonefire Blossom: If “Forbidden Chalice” negates Lonefire Blossom's effect,” you can Tribute “Lonefire Blossom” as cost, but the effect resolves negated.
●VS. Beast King Barbaros”: its ATK becomes 3400, then 3000 ATK after the End Phase.
●This card can be used in the Damage Step, but not during/after Substep 4 - Damage Calculation.
●This effect expires during the End Phase like any other effect. Normal rules of priority apply, and the turn player must resolve effects first in the case of dual passing.
