Can Stardust Dragon negate Widespread Dud's destruction effect?!
Widespread Dud is face-up and its effect would destroy a monster.
No. Widespread Dud's effect is continuous and does not start a chain, so Stardust Dragon cannot negate it.
If I chain Winged Rhino to Widespread Dud, does Widespread Dud still destroy the other targeted monster?!
Widespread Dud is activated targeting Winged Rhino and another monster, and Winged Rhino returns itself to the hand as a chain.
No. Widespread Dud needs to remain face-up and keep its link to both targets. If Rhino leaves before resolution, Widespread Dud only keeps the remaining target and no destruction happens.
