No. Red Dragon Archfiend destroys Defense Position monsters after damage calculation, and battle recruiter effects trigger at the end of the Damage Step. Because RDA's effect applies first, the recruiter is destroyed in a way that prevents its end-of-damage-step trigger from activating.
